Truck Fire Near Emigrant Lake Closes Border

A semi-truck accident involving a tractor-trailer on fire along I-5 south of Ashland Oregon prompted a closure of all northbound lanes of I-5.
Firefighters and traffic crews responded to reports of the truck fire shortly before 6 p.m.
The truck involved in the 18-wheeler accident involved a trailer full of paper products, according to authorities. Paper products are, of course, highly flammable and in some instances combustable.
Fire apparently spread to brush at or near the highway.
